Lemon Peel Stitch

I’ve always loved the texture and easy repetition of the Lemon Peel stitch. The design is named after a dear friend who loved them and I continue to make her stockings as she adds on to her family.

Materials & Supplies

Yarn: #5 Bulky - Sample made with Berroco Comfort Chunky (50% Super Fine Acrylic / 50% Super Fine Nylon, 150 yrds/ 100g ball) in 2 colors 300 yards of MC - Sample MC is Ivory 150 yards of CC - Sample CC is Adirondack (green), Navy (dark blue), or Beet Root (maroon)
Hooks: Cuff: 5.50 mm (US I/9) Leg, heel, foot, toe: 6.50 mm (US K/10.5)
Misc.: Stitch Marker, Tapestry Needle, Tape Measure, Scissors
